What is the PharmaScout calibration process?
All PharmaScout digital temperature probes are calibrated and adjusted as a system before first installation and annually thereafter. The entire probe (casing and electronic circuitry) is loaded into a temperature chamber and subjected to an automated 3 point calibration protocol. The temperature in the chamber is computer controlled to automatically manipulate and stabilised over 3 different temperature variations, 33°C, 15°C & -3°C. The units under test are calibrated (compared) over multiple samples with 2 reference instruments that are calibrated at NMISA and traceable to the international standard of temperature. Calibrated temperature probes are adjusted (based on the comparisons) to achieve a high accuracy temperature probe and installed with a certificate of calibration as well as a certificate of traceability.
