Economy Mode - Fridge regular or irregular non divergent excursions
The chart below clearly indicates (although experiencing more than expected divergence) regular excursions of all areas above the required temperature profile of 2°C – 8°C
Beverage coolers are configured and installed with an ‘Economy’ or ‘Day/Night’ mode which actively controls the performance of the refrigerator for the purpose of providing energy savings. Whilst this is an acceptable practice for storing beverages it is completely unacceptable for the storage of pharmaceutical products. This refrigerator is actively (by design) controlling the performance of this refrigerator at set intervals above the required performance specification of stored pharmaceutical products
What to do?
1. Log a ticket or service call with the original supplier of the refrigerator to send a technician to remove the economy or day/night mode setting.
