Resolving High Temperature Alerts – Beverage Coolers

The following procedures may be used to resolve issues to do with high temperature alerts when using Beverage Coolers:
  1. Always follow procedures indicated by the automatic temperature monitoring system.
  2. Do not adjust the thermostat setting without reviewing the daily charts and referencing the pre-determined saved set point.
  3. Always consult the responsible person before adjusting the thermostat.
  4. Ensure that there is no break in the power supplied to the refrigerator.
  5. For refrigerators with an adjustable thermostat, compare the set point to the predetermined setting on record.
  6. Ensure that the door is securely closed

NB* If after following the above recommendations the refrigerator is still unable to maintain the correct temperature profile for the correct storing of pharmaceutical products, transfer the contents to a working refrigerator and place a service call with the supplier of the refrigerator.
